Welcome to Concussion Exercises
If your concussion is less than two weeks old, make sure you're doing 30 minutes of daily cardio that raises your heart rate without jostling your brain too much (stationary bike, stairs, elliptical, treadmill).
If your concussion is 2+ weeks old and you still have symptoms, you're ready to begin the rehab program below.
- Each day you will Prepare, Activate, Recover.
- You can do as much activation as you have time and energy, but don't skip prepare and recovery--they are a critical part of fixing your parasympathetic nervous system, which makes you feel crappy when it's not doing well.
- If your symptoms get a little worse, that's ok. If they get a lot worse, take a recovery break or do an easier version of the exercise.
30 minutes to 4 hours per day, 4-5 days per week. Do a combination of exercises, mix it up to give different parts of your brain challenge
